On Wednesday, the NES community was
fortunate to have Tony Vacca, Abdou Sarr, and Massamba Diop visit and
share music and dancing from Senegal. It was part of the Sengeal America Project that brings two cultures together to share music and grow global awareness. Students in grades 4, 5, and 6 attended workshops during the morning to learn either drums or dance. In the afternoon, they performed on stage! Everyone did a wonderful job and learned a little about West African culture.
Thank you to the NES PTA for sponsoring this wonderful event!
